I was wondering why the trucker that passed the guy with the shifting load, didn’t flag that trucker to let him know his load was about ready to slide off. You don’t know pride honor and sacrifice until you become a Trucker’s wife. It’s the number 1 rule we flatbedders live by check securement as much as possible the wind going down the road will cause straps to lose
New You don’t know pride honor and sacrifice until you become a Trucker’s wife design!
I’m always checking my mirrors, but during the night I can’t see the second and third trailer, so I have to be sure before I leave nothing will move, cause if it does I’ll have no idea until I stop. You don’t know pride honor and sacrifice until you become a Trucker’s wife. With the way we are treated nowadays, I can’t imagine anyone but a retard wanting to drive a truck. We are required to stare directly out the windshield. Only look away too pee in a bottle and chuck it out a window, Actually pretty serious stuff. I’ve seen that happen and fly directly into the windshield of a car killing a lady.
It’s not the driver’s fault they are ‘hurrying’, it’s their bosses. The drivers are given a certain time to be from point A to point B. Too bad if you need to stop to check your load, then you go without a toilet break or meal break to make up time. Forget about your sleep break. If you are late, you face being fired. I’m sorry that you cave under you dispatch. It’s driver’s that believes that they have to be played by dispatch. For the 20+ years I drove I never once not have the time to do pretrips or check my loads during my dispatch, have a bathroom break or grab something to eat. If driver’s aren’t checking loads
Have a nice time with our tee!
Nothing to do with being a professional. Tires blow. But the others yes. No pre-trip. And not securing the load. And checking it to make sure it stays secure. Hardly any real flat herders anymore. I’ve seen lots of tires blow on trucks while driving over the road for Fed Ex Ground pulling doubles. But one of the first things you should learn is to check your mirrors constantly. Tarps come loose as well as straps but you should know it before traveling very far.
Lots of people assuming you can just pull over and sleep, like it’s that easy, even ignoring the scheduled delivery and ELD issues there is still a major shortage of parking, plus cops can and do ticket you for parking at on ramps and off ramps, I personally got ticketed in Virginia for doing that once. I think the issue is that it should be easier. A blinking hat is might stop you from falling asleep at the wheel but it is not going to improve your driving if you need rest.
