Just where would we be without nurses? Without nurses there wouldn’t be any hospitals nor would there be any patients. Yes, I’m a massage therapist No, I will not rub your back right now. No babies could be born without nurses. We really do need nurses.
Cool Yes, I’m a massage therapist No, I will not rub your back right now collection!
Having just come home from three weeks in our local hospital and having spent most of that time seriously thinking about the care I was receiving from these extraordinary people, my understanding of where nurses play such an important role in our hospitals. Yes, I’m a massage therapist No, I will not rub your back right now. They are the human touch, they are the link in the chain between so many areas of hospital hierarchy and they are they first contact between patients and the rather confusing and confronting hospital system.
But that is only one part of their duties. The list just goes on. I have the greatest respect for the nurses and their extraordinary devotion to their care of patients. I realise now that nurses are one of the most, if not the most important part, of the wonderful world of medical care, yet I firmly believe they are not given due appropriate respect and reward. This is a matter desperately needing attention.

I was in hospital for 5mths after an aneurysm grade 5 reduced to 4 cause I didn’t die and I have to state my highest regard for the nursing staff, interns, tea ladies and everyone else involved in the day in day out running of a hospital.Recovery is very slow and difficult but they make it bearable and even pleasant at times.
A world without nurses would mean people would not be given the wrong medication. Be subjected to their mood swings and be treated with respect by others. Where I work they are restructuring the workplace, the casuals are getting the boot, RN’s and EN’s have the choice of being rehired as PC’s on a PC wage. The facility will be short staffed and there will be elderly people suffering skin tears falls andassaults at the hands of the aggressive people we are having to take in because the company gets money from the government to have them here. I will be unemployed soon because I am a casual, will never work in nursing again.
