My son loved you and your music. On one of his travels Evan pulled into a rest stop where your bus was broke down. My handy son got out some tools and fixed it. You made his day when you bought him breakfast. I lost my son 10 years ago,he was 18. There are alot of songs out there that relate to my situation, Willie Nelson I willie love christmas but this one really hits me.ive never spilled my guts on social media, but I can’t help it today. I carry alot of guilt every day,I could have been a much better dad.
But he couldn’t have written the words better. After all, at his age, you know he’s lost a lot of people he loved. So, he wrote the words perfectly,!! I loved it too!! Funny, how I was drawn to your comments like the rest of us. We’re all in this game of life together. Here today, gone tomorrow, and as we all age, we become more aware everyday of the fact that time waits for no one.
Jim, that Bridal Wreath bush you’re standing in front of, we had one of those growing up in Scotch Plains. Beautiful.
This new song really touched my heart today. My precious husband has Alzheimer’s and I see the changes in him every day. With God’s grace, He gives me the strength I need for each day. Willie Nelson, you did it again with this one. I share the same sentiment. Fortunate to attend one of his concerts; Willie and his band, including his very talented sister, gave the crowd their ‘money’s worth!
