I really wish I could reach out to this young man my son is 13 he is high functioning autistic and has been to 13 schools and is now home schooled again due to sever bullying and no proper autism support he is struggling Unicorn autism dancing to a different beat when it comes to friends he doesn’t always get social ques and jokes he likes Pokemon and roblox with his little brother his only friend.
He has asked in an autism support group if any one had a verbal or semi verbal child that wanted to do like pen pal or email messages something that the parents feel is ok and have not gotten any takers he feels alone and like nobody will give him a chance to get to know him despite his autism and see the things he has to offer. If love to see if may be your family would be interested for the summer like a pen pal anything to help you young guys not feel alone and remind you there are others like you.

His name is Brant Hanson. I love hearing his take (as a married 40 something adult with Aspergers) on life through his eyes and how he has learned to interact as he’s gotten older. Look him up!
My daughter is only 8 years old and we live in London-United Kingdom I know she would love to have an overseas pen pal. My daughter has not got Autism and/or Asperger, but I hope this is not an issue as such. She said she just would like to be kind to someone who might feel lonely. If interested you could PM me.
