The grinch I’m a good aunt just cuss a lot tee
Has anyone considered that kids are natural born learners from the moment they are born. I’ve watched all my grandchildren, and my own children growing up. It’s true. Everyone learns from experience, The grinch I’m a good aunt just cuss a lot shirt from example and from experimenting. True teaching is simply guiding learning. There is education and there is indoctrination. This is not meant to diminish the role of the teacher but to magnify it. The teacher is the one person best placed to understand the place each student occupies on the learning continuum and the extent of each student’s cognitive development. Not that this is an exact science but that one can discover if a child’s cognitive development recognises, for example
one to one correspondence, which will provide a fairly strong clue whether the student is ready for learning activities requiring recognition and manipulation of beginning word sounds. This determines whether a child recognises that a letter makes the same sound each time it is seen. Of course when the same grapheme identifies different phonemes, depending upon other adjoining graphemes we are on a higher level of cognitive development. The way into this apparent puzzle is for children to build a significant collection of words recognised by sight in the same way Japanese and Chinese children recognise word characters.
