Hurricanes years ago are more deadly before good communications, weather forecasting and accurate hurricane tracking in use, greatly reducing loss of life in recent years when names alternate between men’s and women’s. Sunshine mixed with a little hurricane. I can’t believe a study was even conducted this way. Start with the years when both men’s and women’s names were both used. If there’s a significant difference, we’ll talk.
Welcome to Sunshine mixed with a little hurricane shirt
Can anyone say “coincidence”? There are so many other factors. Believing our names for srorms cause varying levels of physical danger seems crazily anthropocentric, especially in light of the sketchy science. I’m skeptical of the methodology. In 1978 the pacific storms started getting male names and Atlantic storms in 1979. Sunshine mixed with a little hurricane. If your data averages death tolls from before this date there are increased statistics to play with. Since 1979 we’ve had better storm protection, emergency response and warning. Due to global warming we’ve also had freakishly frequent and disastrous storms. Sandy might be classified a superstorm or a hurricane but no matter how you feel about women that was a disaster. Katrina too (although I must say I knew a human Katrina who scarred me for life…). Don’t use bad statistics to make a sexist point.
I think it’s because women go through a lot of hormone changes and some women have to give birth to their children n that’s a painful experience! If it wasn’t for us women mankind would not exist because women are the ones that multiply and have the children in this world! Hurricanes years ago are more deadly before good communications, weather forecasting and accurate hurricane tracking are in use, greatly reducing loss of life in recent years when names are alternate between men’s and women’s.

I can’t believe a study was even conducted this way. Start with the years when both men’s and women’s names were both used. If there’s a significant difference, we’ll talk. What is crazy about this is that someone has been paid money to do this research. Why. Got nothing better to spend it on. No famine in the world. No problems with plastics. Not draught anywhere. Ffs stop giving money to these stupid ass researchers and start helping real people and real problems.
The fact that all hurricanes had girl names from 1953 to 1979, then 50% or more had girl names for the next 40 years might have skewed the statistics. However, for the Texas/Louisiana coast Harvey and Ike come to mind. Since biblical times mans religion’s have always blamed women for the evils that acure in this world. From biting the red apple or enticing men to have sex with a scorpion btw our legs. So,why would killer hurricanes be any different.
