Yes it is. The books continue and always will and that will be the real EU to us long standing fans. BUT I also acknowledge Disney has a lot of money and wanted to make something their own. I get it from a business stand point. They didn’t want to try and live up to the EU so they did away with it to start there own. Just remember, EU was written under the approval of George Lucas. Disney bought him out and now everything is theirs and he has nothing to do with it For the movies sake. Do you think book and movies are different? Do you watch GoT? Why would it be called The Rise of Skywalker if she’s either not one or going to be taking up the name & becomes one? I’ve actually been calling this for months, and I hope I’m right! I said from the beginning and I’m still saying it’s. It is a hill that I would die on. because to me (yes it’s only my opinion lol) the point of these three movies is that the force is in everyone, you see it popping up in random people… Luke was the last Jedi, but the force still exists.. in all… the true hero’s journey.
