That’s true, we most give and criate the oportunity for our children express there inner thoughts, being helicopter parent is kind of prison for a child Slayer vader star wars shirt The reason I don’t let my kid break eggs in the house has nothing to do with money and everything to do with the fact that I prefer to spend my time with him rather than cleaning egg yolk off the floor.

Earlier this evening my grandson who is almost 4 and on the autism spectrum and I were making cookies and he dropped an egg on the floor. At 1st I was “aww goddammit Aron” but then I remembered this clip. So I instead asked him how the egg broke and why and got him to hold the raw yolk in his hands and squish it and break it open. Slayer vader star wars shirt He had so much fun and so did I. Which was way better than being irritated over something so minor as a broken egg.

My second husband went ballistic when my oldest son, maybe seven, eight at the time, took apart??? Something belonging to his step dad. I don’t even remember the item. It was all done when I was in another part of the big house. He never offered to show the child how to put it back together. It soured their relationship forever!
He just made me realize why my kids are so smart cuz on the stuff I said no on they would turn to me and say explain to me why, wow, see Ma I was doing it right. The messes clean up, childhood is fleeting, isn’t that what I always said. GOD says let them be little, My guess is that a single working mom would be less happy about the need to re-wash pots and pans, clean up spattered egg, etc. Maybe the kids could do the egg experiment in the context of baking or breakfast prep. Maybe he could develop a handbook of ways time-crunched and exhausted parents could provide opportunities to experiment in a natural setting without adding extra hours of work.
