but it seems their childrens are busy making money and forgotten them.. This is only a small percentage of the population of Japan who die alone. The same can be said of many other countries. I’m sure older people who live alone in the US die alone as well. These days children are too independent and don’t want the burden of taking care of their elderly parents. I am Japanese-American and this is not the way the Japanese used to be. In the old days, the eldest son always took care of their parents until the day they died. However, times are changing and many older I’m a georgia bulldogs on saturdays and an atlanta falcons on sundays 3d hoodie people don’t want to burden their children either. They would rather live alone as long as possible, unfortunately. What is really sad is when their own families don’t keep in touch with them.
In Hawaii, I know the Japanese here still are very caring of their elders. It’s a smaller place here, so it’s much easier to keep in contact with each other. Sadly, in a place like Tokyo which is one of the most densely populated cities in the world (36 million in the greater Tokyo area), some people have lost their family ties. And, they also have the largest aged population in the world. There’re a lot of people dying alone in the U.S. too. Every other week I hear of a veteran dying alone or even dying without any relative left, and that’s just veterans alone, not the rest of the population
