His experience of mental health crisis is indicative of the veteran mental health crisis we face leaving active duty. Throwing his issues on the company is a cop out. Popeye honorary member grumpy old navy veteran club shirt I’m not against 15/hr but maybe next time have someone that actually showcases the difficulty of living at less than 15/hr in places like the Northeast or urban living

I’m a Veteran and I work at Amazon. I work long hours on the floor. And you know what, I’m happy with my employment. I think it’s very Disingenuous to have a person reflect the Amazon workplace under the pretense of I’m a vet and look how awful they treated me. Temp workers are temp for a reason (times where more people are needed), Popeye honorary member grumpy old navy veteran club shirt but the Amazon worker is treated fantastic. I have access to the best healthcare (I was in the military remember), financial planning, and it is the ONLY company that I’ve ever worked that gives PAID maternity for more than 6 weeks!!!! Bernie, I am a supporter, but this guy doesn’t represent my workplace.

Ingrid is more than likely in an upper management or HR Admin position trying to make her company look good. Amazon employees on this thread beware because I’m sure that she’s taking down names to snitch you out if you complain, but from the sounds of it probably can find a better job elsewhere than this glorified sweatshop. I don’t believe you work in a factory. You’re fielding these questions like an HR plant and it’s really unconvincing, especially considering the literally dozens of accounts from other amazon fulfillment center employees that have been in the news/articles online for months now.
I also don’t trust anyone who’d defend a workplace that’s doing this to her community of employees just because she’s happy and comfortable. Seems selfish. But glad you’re happy I guess (though you’re probably in an office and comfortably seated). There’s more than 1 Amazon Facility. Lucky for you your place was good. I have several friends that have worked at amazon. They were full time, healthy people and they were treated like crap. Their story almost mirrors what this man is saying. I have 2 other friends (out of 5 that did) and they still work there because they cannot afford to quit. Both are still seeking other employment.
