I totally agree with your last statement. So much rubbish on social media about manifesting and being positive all the time. Pheasant merry christmas life isn’t like that all the time – sometimes we have to learn very sad lessons and through the rain you appreciate the sunshine more

Maybe the people believing this can manifest rain for our Australian farmers who are suffering the worst drought in history! Or our government will have some empathy and give them real life aid! Yes but to smile all the time would clearly be repressing and masking feelings which can honest to your heart and sensations during certain moments. Pheasant merry christmas This is really trying to simplify a quite complex system of human emotions. We should explore them, embrace them-not dwell in them mind you- be aware of them…but clearly we should not ignore sadness if it is an honest feeling in that moment!!
I wonder how this applies to homeless people. They have a problem that they can or can’t fix. You can’t just tell them to smile. Yeah, it’ll make their lives a little more positive, but I feel like it kinda clouds the problem they have. I may be wrong. I worked with a minister that greeted everyone with “Make a nice day”. She would say that we all had a choice in how our day progresses. We can let everything that we cannot change bother us or we can except it, not worry about it and “Make a nice day”.
