Staying on Earth isn’t an option. Every year things get worse, and it only takes a single cataclysmic event to wipe us out. Terraformed Mars can be a great thing to do, Penguin it’s ok I’m on 500mgs fukitol. but in the end, humans need to expand our presence in space to increase chances of survival.
Lovely Penguin it’s ok I’m on 500mgs fukitol items!
Honestly even if mars was terraformed how does that help earth I mean think about it like we’re not solving earth problems were just finding a delay if we go to another planet with nothing new to work with meaning human laws and what not what’s the point Im assuming that “bombarding Mars” came up from the theory that, the comets and asteroids that bombarded Earth created it’s atmosphere with elements they brought in from deep space? Penguin it’s ok I’m on 500mgs fukitol. That’s all I can think of. But… I as well was unaware of this Astroid Launcher we are bulding. you use gravity from a small space craft to coax an asteroid to mars. It sounds crazy but even a golf cart sized space craft could be enough of a gravitational influence to slowly coax an asteroid over thousands of miles to strike mars.
Get it now or Regret later!
I’m not saying everyone should leave Earth and go to Mars and terraformed a planet. Though terraforming Mars would be nice, it’s not immediately essential, and is going to be a long term project (but we still need to settle there). Earth is still saveable luckily. However, given our PPM is above 400, the plastic, the oil, CO2, methane, and the fact we are going through an extinction cycle currently, I don’t have very good expectations for the future of our planet. We have the technology to fix our planet, yes, but we aren’t doing enough. (Given US government priorities and all).
I don’t see a point even if we were capable. Life on Earth is much more than just having atmosphere Funny shirts. Imagine our world that has existed for some millions years became aware that it is destroying itself and wanted to start terraforming another planet to keep life going. Why wouldn’t it , or couldn’t, have done what mars did. In the past millions of years, our solar system has become an ecosystem on a scale that may be unfathomable to us. I don’t believe that personally, but according to the date we go by it’s 2018 and much more in some cultures. Yes we have BC but it’s small in comparison
