Wow, it touched me; his sincere concern for us who have dreams! I learned something , make it a short term goal, not long term dream. Bits and pieces, achieve them, slow but sure! what she said about the church is right. They do, constantly, try to hold back women. They have made the verses that God used to shine women on; as sinful. God adores women, God loves women, God knows how powerful women are; because He made them that way. If your church don’t hold women up to God’s standards, find a different church. I think those who are so outraged about the whole ‘sin’ comment completely missed the point she was making.
I believe that organized religion has long been a suppressor of sexuality… and there are many statements alluding to how women are perceived to be the weaker sex, particularly in Christianity ‘we are to be looked after by men’ they are supposed to cherish us! How about we cherish ourselves!!!. I wonder how many of these women would celebrate their bodies by belly dancing, for instance, in Western religious culture it has been equated with stripping, and even prostitution its considered sinful, but in reality is one of the most beautiful forms of feminine expression.
