I loved listening to my local (BBC radio Leeds) station but it slowly gone further away from what I loved about it, got rid of great presenters and it’s nearly all news now. My husband thinks I’m crazy but I’m not the one who married me. I switched to another station more to my liking.
New My husband thinks I’m crazy but I’m not the one who married me tee!
Probably “Anti British”, Anti Brexit, Politically Correct, Virtue-signalling leftwing drivel and that hysterical bullying female who never lets an interviewee finish a sentence! Today is now following the lead of Women’s Hour: basically a line up of whingers, self proclaimed victims, graspers, and grievance mongers, every one with their hand held out, expecting more money from the state, or asking for something to be banned. My husband thinks I’m crazy but I’m not the one who married me. Generally, the programme is now an exercise in PC social engineering. Endless “theme” programmes promoting some liberal elite cause of other. It’s no longer a news programme. Would you prefer News that only had people you agree with? The BBC try and be balanced which one of the things that hurts them. You and Yours went through months of complaints when they reported anything about Brexit. Nowadays everyone is so used living in their own echo chamber they think the BBC are normalising the far right by having a guest on.
Show me your color and have fun!
I didnt expect Radio 4 to have alt right guests, you’re right about that. Which is why I’m not going to listen to it anymore. But you guys are welcome to do so. Dont need to criticise someone for their decision. I’m sure BBC radio would be quite glad of the influx of new Tommeh supporters as their new listening base
This is why services like Spotify do so well imo, its just music and you don’t have to change the station the moment someone starts talking to you, though you do miss out on the breaking news every hour which kind of sucks. It is the society we live in, I manage bookings for a local hall, without the phone, the internet and email I wouldn’t be able to do my voluntary job, I am always in touch with my family on the go, without the phone I wouldn’t be able to stay in touch, especially Facetouch. All my music is on iTunes and I can download my favourites at a touch to my phone.I can even read my eBooks, phone cabs, play games, check my bank account, buy goods and many more things, so yes, couldn’t do without it.
