Odin went through several things to gain the knowledge of the Runes (which he in turn entrusted to us). He impaled himself with Gungir and hung on the Yggdrasil for I believe 9 Days, then sacrificed his eyes. Which still sits at the bottom of Mímisbrunnr. So that he may gain the knowledge of the Runes. mo-thor. He did this so that he may gain more knowledge in hopes to postpone Ragnarök, and so that he could pass on the knowledge to us.
We have new mo-thor designs!
Wodan has/had a interest in us, hence why he would travel around the world in the guise of an old man to watch over us and see how we interact with each other. mo-thor. Click to own the printing shirt now! Lots of things are wrong with Marvel’s take on Norse mythology, though I can give them a pass for it. Thor’s power of flight is not through his hammer but by a team of goats who hurl him in the air on a magic sled. This is the origin of Santa Clause’s sleigh being pulled by reindeer. Santa Clause being an amalgem of the real “St Nick” Saint Nicholas of Antioch and Thor
I am taking a class that touched on the Norse myths in regards to Wagners Ring Cycle. Wagner also used bits and pieces of this mythology to create his operas and used the characters Thor and Loki, but changed their name. The ring cycle actually was the influence for Lord of the Rings too! all I know that from the comic books, it states that Loki has 4 sons and 1 daughter. Their names are Son of Satan, Fenris Wolf, Jormungand(or Find Fang Foom), Valis Halfling, and his daughter Hela.
For your awesome mom!
He also had a son called slephnir ( probably not spelled right ) that he had with a horse. He shapeshifter into a mare and got impregnated by a stallion. The offspring was an 8 legged horse, the fastest horse in existence. Odin can be seen riding it in the mural with hel. Bengi Ay Hel and Hela are the same thing. Much like Odin and his many names: Odin, Odinn, Wodan, Wotan, Othin, Othinn, The All Father. They all mean the same thing
I haven’t seen it, and I’m not all bothered by spoilers, but I was hoping the writers would keep the script close to Marvel mythos (couldn’t expect loyalty to Norse mythology) at least. Meaning Loki’s daughter from a prior Ragnorak cuz that’d be cool and all lol. Having access to a library of ancient magics where he can learn loads of shit would make him really OP, magic has no limits just rules TBH. If Strange turns evil he would be hell more powerful to fight against than Thanos. You guys have no idea about classic strange then. Dude was loki on steroids he could def beat him. The movies just depower them all
