I think that those of you who answered here that they don’t know what they love or are good at have not looked for a prevailing theme in all of their employment, hobbies or dealings with the world in general. I found that even though I worked some decent jobs they all felt unfulfilling until I realized that it wasn’t the work that I was doing for the company that mattered to me but the relationships with co-workers or clients that made me feel good. Just bringing home a paycheck is good enough for now but I’m actively searching now and have different types of jobs in my past. Someone above said do something you enjoyed as a child. I would LOVE to get a job playing in the dirt or climbing trees or listening to music lol but I don’t think that’s possible. In my 40’s, I don’t know, don’t know how to answer it, can’t even figure out how to start to answer it. I think for me there is a fear blocking me. Fear of success, fear of failure, both at the same time. I gotta be honest…I have never purposely lied on my resume other than not remembering exact dates of hire and when I moved on. I was always deathly afraid of being caught in a lie…On my girl scouts honor. And honestly I was never any good at lying as a kid. ALWAYS got caught so never really saw any point to it.
Only a few jobs I wrote down exact dates some I know are most likely off! And whatever I thought i worked there from I started sometime in September and ended sometime April or May just thrown in dates.
