You have to understand the reason why it happens with comics. Unlike manga, comic arcs have multiple writers and artists and can last up to half a century. Obviously this is going to create problems because the authors are going to write their own stories within these arcs and things will get retconned and so on. They won’t be able to afford all those A+ listers forever. But they’ve invested so much into this plot I can’t see them not finishing the gauntlet story, in one fashion or another (I just want me some Thanos wrecking shit on the big screen lol).
