I think more Lions fans are upset with the rule on the runoff than arguing the call. I understand the referee error resulting in a stopped clock, where perhaps if they called him short on the field, then they could have run up and gotten a final play off. But honestly, Los angeles lakers and Atlanta falcons. human fault plays into things. If the ref had put more effort into the coin toss in OT at the Superbowl, and it lands in our favor, then maybe I have on a Falcons SB Champs shirt right now.
We have new Los angeles lakers and Atlanta falcons design!
Everyone still doesnt seem to understand that the opposing teams are also paid professionals intent on keeping us from doing what we want to do. They have good players too. And study film too. They want to win too. That Pick Six Matt threw was a perfect example of film study. Los angeles lakers and Atlanta falcons. The Defender knew that formation meant a slant to Julio and he broke in the pass before Matt even threw the ball. Stop watching the game thinking we are going to dominate everyone every week. That’s not how this works, it’s not how any of this works.
She is winning close games, struggles, last minute, stressed filled games. And winning blowouts. We are even getting lady luck on our side. We didn’t use to play this way. You didn’t use to have lady luck and we didn’t use to win close games. Everyone needs to understand this isn’t the same old Falcons and we are not going back to that. Buffalo is on deck. We are 3-0. We shouldn’t care about anything else, except Buffalo Sunday.

The falcons helmet is in the way of seeing his knee, If you look at other Angles you can clearly see his knee never hit the ground. Its okay though lions fans are used to this treatment, i hope we meet in the playoffs. If (and I’m being generous) his knee was off the ground in that shot, it is not by very much at all. The ball is still a foot from the goal line. For him to travel that distance horizontally before his knee touched the ground, gravity would have to ceased to exist for a couple of seconds. Physics, man.
Even if they called the play short of the goal line. I still think they would have stopped it to review it because it was so close, resulting in a runoff anyway. I’m a falcons fan til the end, but do realize that you guys won on a technicality. Tighten those bolts please, these kinds of games aren’t good for my heart. Technicality how? Because of the 10 second runoff? The ball was stopped in bounds with 9 seconds, they would still not of had time to reset and run a play for a 4th down
