We need her voice in Congress – again, she represents what is good about this country which means Just a girl in love with her red raiders. I have confidence she will be constructive and a positive voice for equal rights, fairness in her deliberations and honest and forthright
Cute Just a girl in love with her red raiders tee!
I don’t know about the rest of intelligent society, but I don’t vote people into office based on their gender or heritage, or based on the lack of representation of extremely small minorities. Being smart, honest, fair, level-headed. Those things supersede anything else for me. You should feel the same way. Just a girl in love with her red raiders. Use reason. Not emotion. I don’t think you’re trying to say only “White Men” are qualified, are you. However, I can see how others could interpret you post as meaning just that. It’s been my experience that plenty of unqualified “White Men” have been elected historically. Need an example…look who’s in the WH now. I’ve given you an opportunity to explain yourself.
Not that anything I said needs to be explained, but for your sake…Re read my original post. I would vote based on intelligence. Dignity. Respect. Honesty. Truthfulness. The ability to be humble. To care for others less fortunate. The list goes on and on.
Nowhere, and I mean nowhere did I mention anything about white men. In fact, I explicitly said I don’t vote based on gender or or heritage, because those things don’t mean shit to anyone when it comes to what kind of person they are.
Show me your color in here!
Trump isn’t very brilliant, and yet here we are. It’s time to make a change, a positive one and there is nothing wrong with her wanting to fight for the injustices her tribe have endured. She seemed like she cares more about Native issues but anyone in Congress should be about people in general not specific races or genders. Funny shirts. Having put herself through law school as a single mom not only shows her intelligence but her determination. She states her credentials as well as issues she wants to focus on. BTW the fight for clean water is a fight for all.
My mother put herself through college as a single mom. That is not a qualification for Congress. At least it shouldn’t be. Millions of people do that every day. Her credentials and the issues she wants to address should be her platform, not her gender or race.
