It is lovely when your children appreciate what you did. My sons said something similar in that they said they knew they were poor June girl with tattoos hated by many loved by plenty heart on her sleeve shirt but did not feel poor as the money was found for everything they needed, they had opportunities to do the things they wanted.
June girl with tattoos hated by many loved by plenty heart on her sleeve shirt
my brother that would be 56 passed away from cancer. 2 boys and 2 girls. Just several years ago my mom was speaking how poor we were when raising us 4: I was shocked as we ate like royalty and always had nice clothes and took vacations. Never having done without anything. She told me she wore her (very neat ) June girl with tattoos hated by many loved by plenty heart on her sleeve shirt clothing for many years and my father wore second hand uniforms .. which I was never aware, so that we had new school clothes each year. My father passed a few years ago but they had 53 great years of marriage and were loving parents. I can’t imagine how they made it work but they did and We are blessed for sure.

Sounds a lot like my life! Good to know others have made it to the other side because I’m in the midst and sometimes wonder will I make it over. I have 4 ranging from 16 to 9. A son that’s working to make Eagle Scout and 3 daughters that are in Girl Scouts. He is on the swim team and they play volleyball. Needless to say it’s like we live in our truck! And I work at a high school so I rarely get rest. But I wouldn’t change it for the world because you only get 1 chance to raise your children and give them all the possibilities their heart desires.
