Yet people eat billions of chickens a year and don’t blink an eye. I will never understand the disconnect from those who are heart warmed by this bird and eating one the next moment. July woman with three sides. The issue with ppl who eat animals is sad, it is Indeed a profound disconnection, getting comfy where we shouldn’t.
For your month – July woman with three sides item!
Putting ourselves first always Even over someone elses lives. Spescism. Yet we justify it and the atrocities commited along with it, and Since they are all blind and disconnected it seems fine to them. July woman with three sides. We have all shapes and click to own funny shirt! Good one. Chickens are good yeah, wonderful little creatures. Funny and spastic. Very charming and quirky. Just like this magpie. You do have a very valid point. But, I never try to shame others (not that you were) because we all have to travel the journey to Veganism or vegetarianism in our own time.
I myself am on that journey and it is a process. It does take time. We weren’t all born vegans. So be patient. Some of us are getting there. Colleen McCormick McCoy has nothing to do with being a vegan. Just always mind blown by the psychological disconnect between one bird to another bird. Or a lamb to a dog, or a pig to a cat and so forth so on. Carnism is a real thing. It’s creepy how thin the line is in human psyche.
Welcome to my designs!
Maybe it has to start someplace after years and years of conditioning maybe this can be the start and instead of shaming people help them make that conclusion instead of the message falling on deaf ears because of feeling attacked. It does have to do with veganism or vegetarianism. If you’re a meat eater, the disconnect will always be there. If you are educating yourself to be a more humane person, then you’ll start to get it and it’ll change your life. It starts with education. We are conditioned to believe what is a “pet” versus “food” and it is an incredible subject.
Many wild animals are carnivores, it’s just circle of life. The few things I disagree with is those who think they’re above every other animal, how they’re killed & the fact we kill more than our means. Such bonds may be between either carnivores or omnivores, with herbivores. People form bonds with their fellow beings all of the time, from canaries to cats, horses to hamsters. There’s no disconnect … as omnivores, hunting & gathering, & obtaining sufficient food for ourselves & our offspring is a biological imperative, as it is for all of our fellow beings. The empathy & compassion that results in our connections to other creatures has also evolved over the millennia, & helps remind us of our place in the biosphere, just one element in a great web of life.
