I’m not a biologist, but if a predator is over populating I think that one would look at the food prey availability and population as the source, and perhaps that is the influence. I don’t always spoil my dog oh wait yes I do. This is armchair quarterback thinking, but it is the basic food chain. I was in the wrong to pray hard but I did pray for the will of God and not my own at the end of my prayer which I always do. My human frustration got the best of me.
We have new I don’t always spoil my dog oh wait yes I do items!
It’s that simple. I personally have two biological daughters. Besides Alaska is the most underpopulated state in the union. We aren’t pushing bears anywhere. They are overpopulating around the small areas we do populate in Alaska and they have lost all fear of humans in some instances. I don’t always spoil my dog oh wait yes I do. I’m still in favor of bear hunting as it’s always been done, for the meat and hides. The culling is done only by government officials, not private citizens.
I was not aware of this. My issue is not responsible and ethical hunting. It is the slaughter of hibernating dens. I will do more research. I’m going to agree with everyone saying humans need to slow down on breeding. But let’s be real, as long as there are teenagers with hormones and no birth control, we are going to have larger families. I don’t have an answer for that particular problem!

Spay and neuter seem a little harsh!! Alaska doesn’t have an overpopulation problem, it takes a special type of person to live up there. I seriously doubt if anyone wants to actually go into a bear den to kill cubs. That’s not what hunters are about. If I’ve offended anyone, I do apologize, but I’m a hunter/ trapper and I want what is best for the overall bear population, not what is necessarily good for every single bear.

I have not been offended at all and appreciated your viewpoint. For me these kinds of conversations represent a discussion where I am open to learning and hearing other peoples opinions. If I am not willing to then I am sentenced to never grow, or become more knowledgeable about anything. The truth is sometimes hard to find, but I do want to find it
