It’s true I’m very aware of what I was getting into and honestly it wasn’t till he was in jail that I realized what kind of box he had me in how quick it happened it was nuts! We are brainwashed! It’s day by day, & one day you wake up & say wow I’m in our my head. It takes some of us, baby steps, & before we know it we have our own lives now! There are so many levels to abusive behavior and the victim. in many cases, the victimized doesn’t realize the perilous situation in which he/she and the kids are living.
