Marijuana can do some lovely things, but this plant has been seriously hyped up by recreational users of it. I guarantee you that if you this plant didn’t get you high, Girlfriend, fiancee, wife. then the potheads of the world would be singing a very different tune.

It stinks when the big money tries to use law and regulation to prevent research on other potential cures, purely to limit competition. If we ignore medical and simply look at the alcohol lobby, you will see a ton of money being spent lobbying to prevent the legality of recreational marijuana use. Girlfriend, fiancee, wife. So if big pharma and big alcohol are so afraid of marijuana benefits, as evidenced by the amount of money spent fighting against it, the real question is, ‘why?’
Admittedly I’ve not read this whole thread but I’ll say this; whether it works for everything or not it does have use for medical conditions. As a migraneur who became physically dependant and addicted to legal drugs scripted through doctors, I would rather use marijuana to control my symptoms than pharmaceuticals. I’m not a “stoner” nor do I spend my days getting high so I’m not advocating for marijuana for that reason. I am however saying that of all the medications

I’ve been on such as narcotics for aborting pain. Anti psychotics for prophylaxis, anti nausea for projectile vomiting, anti depressants to control depression caused by chronic illness. Sleep aides and anti-anxieties for maintaining a set schedule of sleep and calm as part of trigger preventative for migraine episodes. None of them worked 100 percent and prolonged use creates a dangerous dependence that often. Leads to addiction and sometimes death through overdose since the body. Becomes immune to the effects. Of those medications rendering them useless for symptoms but still toxic.
Marijuana covers all of those drugs and requires less use. And the body does not become dependent on a life-threatening chemical. So while people argue over whether marijuana is a viable solution in medicine. Those of us that suffer from diseases that have terrible symptoms. And require heavy medications sit in limbo waiting for laws to change. Pass so that we can resume normal lives that are relatively functional and often times symptom free.
