I get that Jon wants Ghost to stay in the north, but not to even go to over to him to say goodbye and pet him before leaving, just made me mad at the writers. Game of thrones drogon nike just dracarys it shirt At least we know Ghost survives and will probably be better taken care of by Tormund than sullen Jon.

It’s the show runners cutting on the budget and further rushing the show along so they can be done with it and enjoy all the money they made from the loyal fans all these years. They literally mention every chance they get how expensive the wolves and dragons are, so it should be no surprise why they got rid of them as quickly as possible. Even though they are pretty important to the world of Westeros and have a lot of meaning. My husband was freaking out at the screen at Jon. He’s read all of the books, and the ones about the world GRRM created. Game of thrones drogon nike just dracarys it shirt Apparently dire wolves are supposed to bond with their human for life, and with no one else. He was so pissed that Jon is just ditching him and barely even said goodbye.
this is exactly how I felt.. poor direwolf… I was literally in tears when ghost looked at Jon and jon just walks away with out a good bye.. almost worst then the 2nd dragon dieing in my opinion Same here I thought he would have at least got down from horse to say goodbye to Ghost but he didn’t. Perhaps he know that now Ghost also knows that he’s not a bastard anymore like he used to be and Ghost truly belong to North. He’s behaving like Ned Stark as you remember in the first season how Ned stark reacted. Dire wolf doesn’t belong to the South of the wall I can understand, although it was sad to watch. He did not want to go south, and leave his friends and home behind. Some goodbyes are just too hard and heartbreaking to endure, and I think that is why Jon did not have a proper goodbye with Ghost. That is what gives me comfort.
