I simply cannot understand why this Country would spend 230 Billion to go to a planet like Mars. We have high definition pictures, along with land rovers that have sent back detailed pictures of the planet. Dear liver this camping trip might get a little rough stay strong. What else do we need to know. That money could be better spent. I’m just saying.
Hot Dear liver this camping trip might get a little rough stay strong items!
You missed the point of this video, they are talking about modifying the atmosphere, thickening it to make it more suitable for us, which would take a very long time to do. Dear liver this camping trip might get a little rough stay strong Asteroids could be directed off their course onto a new one by sending probes to them, which could steer them; though they are far away and this again would take a long time. If you want a reason this will fail it is because the planet has a weak magnetic field and any atmosphere we actually create will stripped away by the suns solar wind.
but why would you want to? When I get cooped up in the house for any length of time, I can’t wait to go outside. Also, the difference in gravity could cause issues. I guess, different strokes for different folks. I just couldn’t live in a habitat community. Now if I was on a ship like Star Trek Enterprise, that would be awesome. I could definitely deal with that!!
Click it and hang out!
NASA wants to do this, but this will take many years to build on space, and many more for the atmosphere to return. Then the next problem rises from the fact that, what’s to stop asteroids and space debris from destroying the magnetic field? It’s possible and i hope to see them start the project in my life, but I’m not holding my breath. Funny shirts. Mars is 141.6 million miles from the Sun. No amount of Terraforming can overcome the wild temperature extremes. At night, it would be like living in the North Pole.
So you actually believe that a atmosphere can overcome the fact that Mars is 33.9 million miles further from the sun than Earth? Sorry, not happening! So I guess you think we can alter the gravitational pull of Mars, so that it could actually hold the “atmosphere” we “produce”? The best colonists could hope to achieve, is living in some type of biosphere, or habitat, and never enjoy going outside and breathing fresh air. They would also have to hope that a stray asteroid doesn’t pass through the thin atmosphere and hit and destroy the habitat. Also, you must believe that the people of Earth would go along with spending the 100’s of Trillions of money to undertake such a endeavor. Don’t think so!!
