Every time I read comments after a game I do it just to see some folks write non-sense, and then I come to your comments. You are the only fan that is realistic and well centered. You are the Hirano of the Facebook comments. Dallas cowboys and Arizona Diamondbacks.
Choose your team – Dallas cowboys and Arizona Diamondbacks?
While he has been okay in low leverage situations, Chafin has been consistently awful in high leverage situations. Lovullo needs to know his players better than that. Frankly, I would have been more comfortable with McFarland as a lefty there than Chafin, not that it matters, as Hirano has been effective against both lefties and righties. Dallas cowboys and Arizona Diamondbacks. As for Goldy, for his sake (and therefore for the sake of the team), I bat just about any other player third before him. With tonight’s line-up, Marte and Peralta were probably the best candidates. Let Goldy stay in the two-hole while he is on a roll there.
But who legitimately would be better to bat third against a lefty? Ketel Marte is hit and miss, Peralta is a left-handed hitter, who else on the team puts up at-bats similar to goldy? Or has nearly as much power? Lamb doesn’t hit lefties, period. Goldy hits 3rd against lefties it’s logic people. Juan understands baseball and knows that it’s a marathon, whereas the usual trolls here pick apart every action. It really is amazing the level of hate directed at a 1st place team by some of the “fans”.
Enjoy this season with this design!
Offense is showing signs of going cold for the month of July. Grienke is the only guy batting .300 and the team is still batting only .220 half way through the season. Miller pitching tomorrow, so this series is already looking like Sunday will be trying to avoid the home sweep. We need to nab Machado before the dodgers do, the dodgers and giants are getting old and us getting Machado and somehow signing him back at end of the year will cement the division for us for the next several years
Diamondbacks don’t have enough for Baltimore to make that trade and Machado won’t be coming back next year anyway. A Machado trade is what this team needs. The offense can’t stay consistent and going back the way the offense played in April and May. We’ve been near 30th in the league the first 3 months of the season in offense productivity. That won’t take us far. Actually, Machado is doing awful is SS while Ahmed is one of the best SS in the NL, I agree with you that Machado can come and help batting, but it seems like a Yasmany Tomas issue. The best option is Machado 3rd base but where does lamb goes.
