Also directors are not the same. Anyone knows that. If they have a different director for the film next, and that director decides that Groot is the same, and states that in the next film, Baby groot hug crown royal. then that is cannon. What a director says is not cannon unless it has been established in the film universe

Marvel Comic Universe Conpletley different, prime example The Walking Dead TV series rick has his arm, in the comics he looses it and where is daryl dixon in the comics?? Baby groot hug crown royal. He doesnt exist and rick fucking dates that old bitch who chooses the govener rather than michone so its not the same at all, otherwise the MCU would of got it right the first time another prime example how many remakes of spidey? And it finally took them till last year to make it right. As soon as you said “I don’t care what the director says” I knew anything that came out of your mouth was going to be some ignorant spew that you typed with your eyes closed, whilst covering your ears and holding your breath.
that’s incorrect the Mcu is based on the comic books each movie is a comic you can’t change the backstory cuz you feel like it xD that’s what the director is doing. It is well known marvel lives in a multiverse. We have all sizes and shapes, click to buy this shirt now! Main marvel is in universe 616. The MCU is just another universe. It doesn’t have to be nor should be a copy of the comics. It’s it’s own universe. They can do whatever they want. I feel like I true marvel fan should know and appreciate this. Can someone actually give me any examples of book to movie (comic or novel) that 100%retells book without changes or artistic expression and adaptations ?? I genuinely can’t think of any examples at all I don’t think it’s ever happened?
Cool time and go shopping!
Mind you this is why I like DC style they are openly all over the place, they have multiverses with writers sometimes totally flipping everything around ( best eg is poison ivy and Harley series where there lovers lol ) the different interpretations is what fans love and they don’t argue about facts because the facts are dictated by what series you are talking about, I don’t thing marvel have had enough fun with alternative universes,so people take things to seriously and try and connect every single series and character reference, people it’s not Disney Pixar.
The whole thing goes back to the real days of comic books, there are reasons this numbers are in the top corner, because each new series is a new telling, that’s why you can get different first editions because they are for different series’s. Movies are different. Even comics from the same world are different. For heaven’s sake we have a timeline where Superman is evil and Batman is a dictator. What’s great about a comic series is that it can created and reinvented in anyway the author and artist seem fit.
